This is an interesting account of the global warming discussion. It seems there are a few skeptics who are brave enough to come out publicly and say that climate change is real, but it's not mankind's fault!

I was riding home one day, listening to NPR, and I heard a story of some Inuit group who wanted to sue the U.S. because of the damage done to their land by global warming. The ice is too thin, their representative said, and didn't function as a land bridge anymore. The animals were moving away so there wasn't as much hunting. Their way of life was being threatened, and the U.S. was the easiest and closest target.
Her speech on the radio was full of interesting contradictions. She was saying that her people have always been innovative and adaptable, but yet they could not adapt to the weather change. The animals, even, were wise enough to move to better land, but here they are sticking, stubbornly.
All attentive schoolchildren learn how mammals and humans adapted at the end of the ice age. There used to be two options -- adapt or die. Now there's a third: sue.
